We are Corey and Jentri King, accompanied by our little Ky who is growing up way to quickly. Unlike most people, the place we consider home does not have carpet, couches, or electricity. You are most likely to find us hanging around at the local crag or our favorite, City of Rocks National Reserve. Rock climbing is our biggest passion and consumes most of our outings. Every once in a while though we sneak in a backpacking trip, some rafting, and trail rides on horses. Our winters are filled with cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and backcountry skiing.
We believe that wholesome family recreation can strengthen the bonds between parents and their children. Backcountry Parenting is dedicated to encouraging parents to get outdoors and camp as a family. Our passions are rooted out where the campfire crackles and the stars present themselves as your ceiling. Yes, it can be done!
